Still Time to RSVP

Hopefully, every classmate received a personal invitation in the mail to the 20th year reunion. There were a few addresses that we were unable to get. And a few that were sent out very late. Our goal of using this blog is to reach all classmates, even those whose addresses have not been found. We are reaching out today, one last time before the big party.

The invitation listed a date of May 20th as the deadline for RSVP. Even though this date has passed, it is not too late to send in your response. We are still able to accept them. No date is too late. Just shoot us a quick email along with the number of family members joining you and we can still count you in.

So, for those of you who have been on the fence about whether or not you want to come, there is still time to decide. For those of you who misplaced your paperwork, dig through that pile of mail on the kitchen counter and find it. Or better yet, send a request to one of the committee members on this page and we will email you another copy.

The committee is quite pleased with the number of responses we have gotten so far. We have heard from about 1/3 of the class. We are excited to have all our families get together. Please consider joining us for a day in the park. We would love to have everyone there.

What type of event?

To date, our reunion committee has met three times to begin planning the 20th year event. Much of the discussion has centered around what type of event we should be planning.

Some feel that our 20th year should be marked with a more formal gathering at a classy local. A place where we would dress in our best and expect to fork over an significant amount of cash for this special night out. After all, it's been 20 years. We should treat this milestone with an air of importance and respect.

Others feel a more low key affair is more in order. A family style gathering where we come dressed in our best casual attire ready to kick back, sit around and spend quality time getting re-acquainted rather than spending our money on fancy plates and loud music.

Here is your opportunity to voice an opinion. What would you like to do? Is a night out away from the kids for a formal affair your desire? Would you like to bring the kids for a day long picnic in a nice park with games, swimming and fun for everyone? Or does your ideal reunion lie somewhere in the middle of these two ideas. Please give us some feed back. Some locations needs to be booked one year in advance. We need to move on this soon.

Welcome to the Blog!

We are very thrilled to have you find and read our class blog! This site has been designed to offer a means of communication for members and friends of the Littlestown High School Class of 1989. Our next reunion is currently being planned and we need your input. We encourage you to post comments expressing your opinion of what you would like to do and see at the reunion. We will need help locating our classmates and we encourage you to forward this blogsite address to any members you may have remained in contact with.

One of our first priorities is to create an email mailing list. Classmates please send your current email to Angie (Goulden) Bradner at arbradner@comcast.net or you can post it here in a comment if you would like your email to be public to all who visit the blog site.

Thanks for checking out the LHS Class of 1989 blog site.
Please check back often to see whats happening!
